My Peacock Dreaming Muse

Breadcrumb Navigation

I would like to meet my muse. The man who inspired the logo and cover of my second book, Peacock Dreaming: The Wisdom of Flowers.

I first met Ari back in 2015. Back then he was already a handsome chap perched in a tree near Wharariki Beach Holiday Park.

Boom Chicka Wa Wa!

Ari and I were long overdue for a catch-up so I headed up to Wharariki this morning to say, “G’day”.

*Cue Barry White’s dulcet tones*. When I arrived in the carpark this morning, Ari was in full loverboy mode. He was busy chatting up the peahens with his haunting melodic call and displaying his handsome tail. However, he managed to take some time out of his hectic playboy schedule for a leisurely brunch and catch up on old times with yours truly.

Here are a few shots captured this morning.

Love your style and mana, Ari.

Ari appears in Anne McCormack’s award-winning book, Peacock Dreaming: The Wisdom of Flowers. He also inspired the design of the Peacock Dreaming Oracle Deck, and The Peacock Dreaming Blog’s logo.

Peacock Dreaming: The Wisdom of Flowers is available for purchase here at The Peacock Dreaming Blog. The Peacock Oracle Deck is also available for purchase.

Both are also available for at Leasa – Heart & Soul in Christchurch (New Zealand).
